Production site of Hencida has been using Argos Feed Group’s liquid feed supplement achieving „predictable and steady” results
Pays off in no time, animals demand it, cows utilize it instantly, showing higher milk yields due to enhanced overall feed utilization - what this can be? Today, when beef and dairy industry is hit by serious profitability issues, this question arises more and more often. - As the stock raising manger of this site, I got in contact with the so called MelaFeed division of the sugar factory of Kaba 20 years ago. They presented us their molasses based feed supplement, and we gave it a try. What we experienced was promising, since the animals have consumed significantly more feed flavored with MelaFer N, on the following day. This remained unchanged, though the product was replaced by MelaVite MV60, and the producer’s name with Argos Feed Group. (The foreigner-owned original manufacturer and MelaFeed ceded operation in 2007.) This transition between the former and recent supplier went smoothly, and shipments from 2007 has just increased our satisfaction and achievements. In late 2006, preparations of a second production site in Per was started, ensuring nonstop supply of the products. Staff and knowledge from the sugar factory of Kaba were implemented directly into the new company to guarantee steady quality. For example, with key persons of Argos Feed, Csaba Varga and Laszlo Bonnay (creators of MelaFeed), we are still in great relationship. Transition ten years ago was successful, since we add MelaVite to any kind of feed, appetite of cows is great and cleaning mangers is nearly unnecessary – this represents „popularity” of Argos Feed Group’s products – the stock raising manager.
The Hencida site raises 200 dairy cows in good condition, applies the Mv60 member of the MelaVite family using the simplest technology: sprinkling it directly on the feed. But today, when it is hard to sell milk even on its low price, should farmers pay more for feed?
- Such daily milk production with MelaVite, if adding 1kg per day to the animal, can be achieved that keeps yields at a stable and profitable level. It pays off instantly. Milk crisis is a problem, but using products of Argos Feed Group we can counterbalance it. – said Laszlo Kormanyos. Using tasty, appetite enhancer MelaVite, not only feed intake, but feed utilization can be increased at once. MelaVite has high sugar content and matching protein level to improve multiplication of rumen bacteria, but since its great dietary effects, it is not only an important source of protein, but is also capable to balance quality fluctuation of mass feed, or – besides others – effects of heat stress. Its high added value worth paying for it.
